![]() We had no lights to get dressed / ready for the day under. The power went out in our room and we were required to use the stairs. While we were there it was 40 degrees Celsius. This did not occur and subsequently we were not able to shower for the duration of our stay. ![]() We requested that this be remedied multiple times via phone and were informed that maintenance would be sent to repair our bathroom. While we were staying at the flamingo our bathtub did not drain. This was for my girlfriends 40th birthday. Guess you get what you pay for though.I booked a vacation package from July 31 - August 3 from Victoria to Las Vegas staying at the Flamingo hotel. Would stay again as long as I know my room is gonna be updated. Hotel is on a great location of the strip across from Caesars. Quick tip about the elevators they get filled quick and take forever but any elevator in the hotel will get you to your room despite what the one the front desk tells you which one to use. If you happen to travel and stay on a weekend they charge to enter the pool area. Pool was great water falls and plenty of space to sit in the water just make sure you get there early to get chairs by the pool they fill up quick. Room was great electric curtains, flat screen tv,safe, great view of the pool. Called front desk they stated they were gonna bring up house keeping after fussing I was transferred to a manager who immediately transferred me to another "slightly upgraded" room at no charge. Rugs were stained, body fluids on the black bed skirt dirty hand prints on the window and after paying for an upgrade was ready to run for the hills. Room looked like someone dropped me into a out dated hotel 6. I paid for a high roller deluxe upgrade and when I get into my room I was highly disappointed. We may have been placed on an unrenovated wing, so I can't speak to the condition of the other wings, but I would encourage travelers to explore their options beyond The Flamingo.Ĭhecked into the hotel around 2:15am and had no issues checked right in quick. Most people that arrive after 9am sit on the ground. The pool area is beautiful, but you need to get in line around 7:45 to get a chair. There were however a few employees that made a positive impression: Manny at the bag holding area, Eric in the cafe and the lady that fed the koi/cat fish/sturgeon. Not what we expected when we planned to catch our early flight. ![]() but only one person was working and it took us 20 minutes to check out. ![]() You need to go to the front desk and wait in line. You can review your bill on tv, and if you need to leave prior to 6am (which we did) you can't use the express check out function. You can check in prior to the 4pm checkin time, but you need to pay $20. Be sure to check in online or be prepared to wait in a 30+ person line. I called the front desk to have them address it, and I'm pretty sure they never came up. Our room faced The Linq and the noise level through 3am was clearly heard through the wall of windows and my ear plugs!!! We had the added joy of having inconsiderate people next to us that came in at 4am and made no effort to be quiet. They also had both think and thicker pillows to choose from. The bed was relatively new and comfortable. Our room was clean and looked to have been renovated, but the did not renovate the tub/shower. The carpets look original and are literally loose and wrinkled, probably due to how many times drunk people have vomited on them, and they'd had to soak them with water and disinfectant to clean them. You can't beat the location on the strip of the Flamingo, but I was honestly appalled at the condition of the corridors of the wing (Habitat) where our room was located.
