Found in the heart of downtown, the 1914 Beaux-Arts train station is home to multiple upscale restaurants, bars, shops, and the luxurious Crawford Hotel.įrom its restaurants, shops, hotel, train, and bus, there’s a lot to see and do in this one gigantic building parked on 25 acres of land. Come on.The historic Denver landmark received a facelift not too long ago, and now it’s on everyone’s radar as not just a transportation hub, but as a place to wine, dine, and stay. They’ve barely raised their prices since the pandemicĮxcuse me, what? A Benedict used to be $10-12 now it's $17. You're so much better off going to Onefold, Ulteria, or the The Wild. I can see how someone who doesn't usually go out for breakfast might find this kind of novel and fun, but for a consistent breakfast place, it's a horrible value and unless you are lucky to find a seat at the bar, it's not worth waiting. It was the same old thing - long wait, cold potatoes, and $20 for two eggs and a cold hash brown puck. I hadn't been back in a few years and I had some time so I decided to go back a few weeks ago and try the one in Union Station. In 2020, they took a huge private equity investment and have since worked towards squeezing every penny out of every seat and piece of food that they serve. In 2019, quality took a noticeable dive and there was always a 15-60 minute line for a seat. It was quick, there was always a seat at the bar, and the food was fine aside from the potato pucks never being fully warmed up and the coffee always being a little watery. So I used to eat breakfast at the Snooze in Union Station pretty much every week in 2016-2018.
